ClariMeal Terms of Use

These terms are an agreement between you and Anatolii Frolov ("we") for the use of the ClariMeal app ("the app"). By using the app you accept them. You must be at least 18 years old to use the app.

1. What the app is

ClariMeal helps you track food, calories and weight, including recognition of meals from photos using third-party AI services. The app provides general wellness information. It is not a medical service (see section 5).

2. License

We grant you a personal, non-transferable license to use the app on devices you own, for personal purposes. You may not copy, modify, sell, reverse engineer or redistribute the app, or use its AI features through anything other than the app itself (including automated or bulk access).

3. Your content

Photos you take stay yours. When you use AI scanning, you allow us to transmit the photo to AI services for recognition, as described in the Privacy Policy. We claim no ownership of your photos or diary.

4. Subscription

Some features require a paid subscription ("ClariMeal Pro"):

• Price: $9.99 per month, billed when you subscribe (no trial), or $39.99 per year with a 7-day free trial (prices may vary by region and taxes)
• After the trial the yearly subscription starts automatically unless cancelled. To avoid being charged, cancel before the trial ends (on the App Store, at least 24 hours before)
• Billing is handled by the App Store or Google Play, not by us. The subscription renews automatically until cancelled in your store account settings before the current period ends (on the App Store, at least 24 hours before)
• Refunds follow the store's refund policies
• After a reinstall or on a new phone, restore your subscription with "Restore Purchases" in Settings

5. Health disclaimer

ClariMeal is not medical advice. Please read this section carefully:

• Calorie and nutrient values are estimates. AI recognition and food databases can be inaccurate, and portion estimates from photos are approximate
• Calorie targets and projections are informational models, not prescriptions
• The app does not diagnose, treat or prevent any condition and is not a medical device
• Talk to a doctor or registered dietitian before changing your diet if you are pregnant or nursing, have a medical condition or take medication that interacts with diet
• If tracking food starts to feel stressful or harmful, or you have a history of disordered eating, please consider stopping and speaking with a professional. The app is built for calm, sustainable habits, not restriction

6. Acceptable use

Do not use the app to break the law, probe or overload our services, circumvent scan limits, or attempt to extract our service credentials. We may limit or suspend access that abuses the service.

7. Your data and backups

Your data is stored on your device (see the Privacy Policy). You are responsible for keeping your device backed up and for exporting your data if you want an extra copy. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for loss of data stored only on your device.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The app is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, we do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free or that AI results will be accurate. Third-party services the app relies on (AI providers, food databases, app stores) may change or become unavailable.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claims related to the app is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and nothing affects your statutory consumer rights (including EU and UK consumer law).

10. Termination

You can stop using the app at any time; deleting the app removes your local data. We may terminate the license if you materially breach these terms. Store-billed subscriptions are managed and cancelled through the store.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be shown in the app or on this page before they take effect. Continuing to use the app after that means you accept the updated terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Germany, without limiting mandatory consumer protections of the country where you live.
